DR. DONALD HOUSTON Member at Large NEW 2015
Dr. Houston is a hematologist, researcher and educator based at CancerCare Manitoba, the Health Sciences Centre, and the University of Manitoba. His clinical interests cover the gamut of general Hematology, including anemias, hemoglobinopathies, bleeding disorders, thrombosis, myelodysplasias, and myeloproliferative disorders. His research has been largely in the area of thrombosis. He is the director of the adult Hemophilia Clinic and Hemoglobinopathy Clinic, medical director of the CancerCare Manitoba Anticoagulation Service, and chair of the General Hematology Disease Site Group at CCMB. At the University of Manitoba Faculty of Medicine, he is the Course Director of the Blood and Immunology Course (1st and 2nd year medical school). He also directs the Internal Medicine Residents Research Day. Nationally, he is a board member of the Association of Hemophilia Clinic Directors of Canada. Back
