DR. ERIC BOW Vice-President
Dr. Bow is a Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Medical Microbiology. His training has been in clinical microbiology, infectious diseases and haematology/oncology. He has been serving as the Director of Infection Control Services, CancerCare Manitoba, the Medical Director of Clinical and Academic Services (CCMB), and the Medical Director of the WRHA Oncology Programme. He is the former Head, Department of Medical Oncology and Haematology (CCMB) and the Section of Haematology/Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine. He has authored alternate funding plans and models of cancer care in these capacities. Twice he has been elected to the Council of the International Immunocompromised Host Society. Dr. Bow’s research interests have focused upon the pathogenesis, prevention, and management of infections in cancer patient populations. He serves on the clinical practice guidelines panels for the management of febrile neutropenic patients for the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
