DR. LARRY TAN Member at Large
Dr. Tan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery. He is the Section Head and WRHA Regional Lead for Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Tan trained in General Surgery at Dalhousie University and in Thoracic Surgery at University of Manitoba. He joined the University of Manitoba as a GFT member in 1996, and practices at Health Sciences Centre as a general thoracic surgeon. His major interest is surgery education. He was the Program Director for Thoracic Surgery from 1999 to 2013 and the Director for Surgery Undergraduate Education from 2005 to 2012. He is the Director for Surgery Postgraduate Education, which coordinates the various surgery residency programs at University of Manitoba. Back
